Take That postpone concert out of respect for Manchester terror attack victims

Take That have announced that their gig in Liverpool will not go ahead tonight.

The group – now a trio made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald – were scheduled to perform at the Liverpool Echo Arena tonight as part of their Wonderland Live tour.

Take That have cancelled tonight’s gig

But they have taken to Twitter to say the concert is being postponed out of tribute to those who have lost their lives.

They said: “Out of respect to all of the people and their families that were affected by the horrific incident last night at The Manchester Arena…

“…we have decided to postpone our show tonight in Liverpool. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.”

It comes after the terrorist attack at Ariana Grande’s gig in Manchester last night, which left 22 people dead and a further 59 injured.
