Rumours suggesting that EssexTV will finally be sold by oligarch owners BE Group have sent social media into meltdown, now the man at the helm of the acquisition bid Jay Austin is set to become the most powerful man in Essex.

With investor backing lawyers representing the LuckySevenPR boss, Sahota & Sahota in Leicester made the £500,000 offer early last week which is being seen as a starting point, A rep for Austin told us ‘He (Jay) loves EssexTV and has always wanted to purchase a media organisation’
Upon a successful takeover Austin will most likely appoint his own Chief Executive which could call time on current CEO Tim Tiernan’s tenure, Austin’s cronies will all be lining up for a nod with his hands being in so many pies he counts politicians, millionaires and celebrities amongst his close friends, Austin was photographed with former England ace Rio Ferdinand merely weeks ago.
Manchester Police have confirmed that BE Group have requested for police protection for Mr Austin and his immediate family which is a standard procedure, Russian entrepreneur Viktor Tokarev was granted a police escort when he flew into Biggin Hill Airport in June 2016 for a board meeting after he became the subject of threats sent to Essex TV’s Vernon House base.
Austin has also been reportedly offered EssexMagazine and new tabloid venture EssexStar for £1 in contracts seen by this paper.
When contacted for comment Essex TV have declined to comment however social media posts show that current channel bosses The Tokarev Family, Benjamin Harris & BE Group all met last week and are all currently in the UK. Simon Phetter a creative manager for Essex TV already tweeted his excitement at his new boss saying “The haters gunna hate, LADIES & GENTS pleaase pray silence for the legendary @J7Austin, the new guvnor #powermoves”
The British digital channel was first reported for sale by World News Network in January 2017, at that time both BE Group and channel directors rubbished the claims saying their public valuation was to enable them to offer shares to the public.
