Hugh Jackman has been hailed as a hero by the trainer who joined him during his dramatic rescue mission helping swimmers to safety.
The Australian actor – whose son Oscar, 15, was amongst those caught in a rip at Bondi Beach on Saturday – has played down his actions, but former National Rugby League star Daniel Conn was full of praise.
“I know Hugh because he often trains down at F45 and we were just chatting about training when the tide just changed,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
“Oscar got caught up with it so I swam out to go and get him and bring him back but he got caught up in it again and he [Hugh] just went into full on Hugh Jackman mode.
“He got Oscar and he also helped some other people too, it was amazing.
