She’s sold over 118million records and won 20 Grammy Awards during her career, but when it comes to what’s dearest to her, Beyonce has admitted the arrival of her daughter Blue Ivy was the “proudest”.
Opening up in a rare cover interview with Garage magazine – her first for two years – the musical icon said: “Out of everything I’ve accomplished, my proudest moment, hands-down, was when I gave birth to my daughter, Blue”
It’s not the first time Queen Bey – who in the past been accused of using a surrogate for her daughter – has discussed the birth of her only child.
In 2013 she claimed she was able to mentally communicate with Blue during her labour.
She told Vogue magazine: “During my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. . . . We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.”
