A man accused of stalking EastEnders actress Samantha Womack is set to appear in court.
Robert Rombough, 22, is accused of sending a love letter to the soap star and camping outside her family home.
Samantha, 42, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC One soap, called in police last week after alleged incidents at the Bedfordshire home she shares with husband Mark, 54, and their two children.
Rombough, of Bungay, Suffolk, will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with stalking.
A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “A report was made to Bedfordshire Police on Thursday (September 10) relating to incidents of suspected stalking.
“Robert Rombough, 22, from Bungay, Norfolk, has been charged with stalking and remanded into custody. He will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court today.”
Samantha has starred on the BBC soap since 2007 but took a brief break while pregnant with her second child.
She has also enjoyed appearances in Mount Pleasant, Where the Heart Is, and Wild at Heart.
The blonde star is about to be thrust into the centre of another dramatic plot on Albert Square as her husband Charlie Cotton attempts to snatch her son Matthew.
