Matthew C. Martino gushed about The Greenwich Show after its debut broadcast on Community Channel on 23rd of August 2015 during their resident 7.30pm slot. Speaking to News24 during his weekly interview the film executive & philanthropist said ‘Im so proud of the work that Ian and the team have put into it and was glad to watch the program on the big screen.’
The Greenwich Show is community TV programme, about the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We also provide video content for people and companies in the borough, making short film features and promotional videos. We make films about events, occasions and attractions in Greenwich – and look to cover the lesser-known hidden gems of the borough. The series of four weekly programmes will be broadcast on the national free-to-air channel in the UK, as well as online – and will be available on any TV across the country.
22year old Martino who was listed as an Associate Producer on the show isn’t thought to be planning a full-time return to producing but he hasn’t ruled out further support of indie TV and film projects ‘I like where the UK indie market is heading but there is still so much support needed to keep many projects afloat, I am always keen to be involved’
The MMBF Trust founder also encouraged local and national organisations to support local shows and keep TV alive. Martino is due to address key issues faced by the film and TV industry later this year as he maps out the future plans for MMBF Trust and how they will fund and support aspiring actors and filmmakers.
