Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills has been dragged into the AshleyMadison.com drama, after the 41 year-old’s email appeared on the dating site’s leaked list.
Around 37 million users of the site – which specialises in setting up married people for affairs – had their private information leaked after hackers obtained personal details of subscribers including sexual fantasies and bank accounts in July.
Scott’s email address, firstname.lastname@example.org, is included on the leaked list, though he’s insisted the email was used without his consent.
A source told The Sun that Scott thought it was “hilarious” he appeared on the database and assumed a listener had signed him up.
The Strictly Come Dancing alumni is currently in a long-term relationship and earlier this year admitted he saw marriage on the cards for him and boyfriend Brad.
“I think I’d like a massive camp wedding and then a big magazine deal,” he told the Daily Star in May.
The hacked list was made public online this week with many high profile names appearing on the global list.
However, as an account on the dating site needs no email verification a profile can be set up by anyone meaning many people, including Scott, have insisted their email addresses have been used without their consent.
