The ex-boyfriend who ‘murdered’ Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter can be seen in a new photograph obtained by Mirror Celeb.
E’Dena Hines was allegedly killed by her former partner, Lamar Davenport, as he tried to perform an ‘exorcism’ on her in the middle of a New York street, a witness has claimed.
The 30-year-old rapper has now been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing and police have confirmed they were in a relationship.
George Hudacko, who saw the actress stabbed, said her killer was screaming: “Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!” as he carried the attack.
The 65 year old watched the attack from his window calling 911 after hearing the victim scream.
“The girl was making a lot of noise, screaming,” Mr Hudacko said.
“I saw something sparkly going up and down. … I called 911, I was begging them to come.”
Hines, whose grandmother, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, was the Batman star’s first wife, was stabbed shortly before 3am yesterday in Harlem.
Witnesses claim the 33-year-old’s boyfriend repeatedly stabbed her even after she stopped showing any signs of life.
Within hours of the attack, Freeman issued a statement saying: “The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer.
“Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”
