Could Katie Hopkins’ pull with the public finally be at an end?
Just six months ago the professional speaker of awful things found herself in a neck and neck race to win Celebrity Big Brother with Katie Price, but now it seems she’s got far fewer fans.
The controversial columnist – who was recently questioned by police over a column she wrote likening migrants to ‘cockroaches’ – failed to bring in the ratings for TLC.
While her previous exploits on the channel, documentary My Fat Life gave TLC its biggest ever ratings with 257,000 people tuning in to watch, her chat show was less popular – by a lot.
According to reporter figures, If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World could only bring in 68,000 pairs of eyeballs.
The episode wasn’t well-received by the public either, with viewers taking to Twitter to slam it and its host.
She was joined by TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, columnist and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Liz Jones and comedian Paul Foot to discuss various issues of the day on her new show If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World.
But some viewers were incandescent that she was even allowed on television.
