Medical examiner confirms autopsy

Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said Bobbi Kristina’s death six months after she was found unconscious would “complicate” their autopsy.

A statement, posted to their website, read: “The death of Bobbi Kristina Brown has been reported to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in accordance with state death investigation laws requiring investigation of known or suspected nonnatural deaths.

“Because the events at her home leading to her death occurred in Fulton County (Roswell), her death has been reported to the Fulton County Medical Examiner for determination of the cause, manner, and circumstances of death.

“Despite the long interval between her being found unresponsive and her death, an autopsy will still be necessary to further evaluate possible causes of death or contributing factors.

“The time which has elapsed between the initial event on January 31st and her resulting death will complicate reconstruction of the events surrounding her initial unresponsiveness.

“Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging. However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.”

Dionne Warwick on Bobbi tragedy

Soul singer Dionne Warwick spoke to the Mirror about Bobbi Kristina last month, saying family tragedy meant she no longer feared death.

Dionne, Whitney Houston’s cousin, said in June: “God has a plan for everybody, for better or different. Of course, any death within my family is a very difficult thing, no matter who it is.

“You’re losing a part of you. Everybody that’s gone before me has taken a part of me with them.”

She added: “And now I don’t fear death at all – it’s something everybody’s got to do.”

Yesterday she paid tribute to Bobbi, saying: “She was a sweetheart, she will be missed, she was a good girl.”

Bobbi’s funeral expected to be held next week

Bobbi Kristina Brown is expected to be buried alongside her mother Whitney Houston next week.

Family sources said Bobbi will be flown to New Jersey following a funeral service in Atlanta so she can be laid to rest alongside the singer.

Whitney was buried in 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey next to her late father, John Russell Houston who died in 2003 following a long battle with diabetes and heart disease.

Bobbi was 18 at the time of her mum’s death and was left devastated.

During a chat with Oprah later that year she described her mum as being her “best friend”.
