Love Island winners Jessica and Max say they are NOT in love – less than 24 HOURS after the final

Love Island’s Max and Jess play down relationship

Love Island winners Jessica Hayes and Max Morley played down their £50,000 relationship this morning.

During a chat with Mirror Online, the redhead admitted that they are not as serious about each other as their co-stars Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark.

“We have a laugh together but we are not madly in love or anything like that,” Jessica admitted.

The pair will be living in different parts of the country when they jet back home to the UK today.

However, the couple aren’t concerned at all about being apart from one another – despite having spent the last few weeks by each other’s side.

“We are not going to move in together or anything like that – it’s a bit soon,” added Jessica, insisting they wouldn’t be using the prize money on a despot for their first home.

“I’ve been in a long-distance relationship before and I think they can work out better sometimes. Anyway, I travel a lot with my job.”

Max famously “pied off” Jessica for her love rival Naomi Ball after admitting he “prefers blonds”.

However, the reality hunk has said that although blonds are what he traditionally goes, he is happy to make an exception for his new girlfriend.

“When someone asks me what I go for, I do say blonds, yeah,” he explained. “But you know, Jess is lovely too.” Very convincing!

Now the ITV2 show is finished, Jessica plans to return to the world of glamour modelling while Max plans to figure out how he’ll be spending his prize money.

The couple also hope to get invites to Jon and Hannah’s wedding – but didn’t mention whether they are planning to attend as a couple…
