Rita Ora has revealed that she had a midnight meeting with X Factor boss Simon Cowell over her role as a judge on the talent show.
The musician, who left the rival BBC show The Voice for her new job with ITV, said that they had to meet at midnight because of their hectic schedules.
The gorgeous star also said that she thinks co-judge Cheryl will be great to work with ans admitted that she thinks she’s ‘hot’.
Speaking about the meeting Rita told The Sun: “We had to fly out to Los Angles to finish my album the next day and he was working on Britain’s Got Talent at the time.
“I had a lot of questions and he did too. But it just fit into place perfectly. And the time commitment worked perfectly for me.
“What made it special was when Simon asked me about X Factor, he told me about his plans for the show and how he was going to change it up.”
The British singer, who is a former guest judge on the X Factor, also said that the process was natural as they met at Simon’s West London mansion.
The 24-year-old said: “His house was incredible. It was actually a no pressure vibe, it felt very natural, it was professional and straight to the point.”
The star has been working on promoting her new single Poison, due is released on June 28.
Amongst everything else the star, who is dating fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger’s son Ricky, is concentrating on her new album and said that she has spent 24 months working on it.
She said: “For me, the second album is so important because I’ve spent two years on it. Everything else always has to work around that.”
Rita’s close pal and BBC Radio1 Breakfast presenter Nick Grimshaw is also part of the new shake-up and will also be a new judge on the X Factor.
Speaking about Grimmy she told the publication: “He’s my friend, I value his opinion so I obviously asked.”
Rita, who had three number ones from her debut album said that she’s also supporting Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and that there’s no rivalry between the girls.
She said: “You see pop stars supporting each other more. Plus, I had only met Cheyrl once befor. But she is very hot and pretty.”
This year Olly Murs and Caroline flack will be presenting the show replacing Dermot O’leary.
