Martino told News24 ‘Casting is a total nightmare, every time I look at a project the first thing that gives me an immediate headache is casting’. Although he has produced a variety of projects the Lets Fly author has never cast a project himself and it’s no surprise he won’t be volunteering to assist the casting dept.

When asked if casting headache’s are the most reason why he is hardly on set for most films he works on Martino denied this telling the interviewer ‘I do love hanging with the actors as I’ve been there myself’.

The 21year used the interview to praise his casting ‘partner in crime’ Robert J. Scott. Martino told the interviewer ‘There is one man who has saved my job more times that I can count, Robert Scott! His casting agency has helped me with mega last minute castings and Robert is just easy to work with’

Asked if he thinks it takes a certain type of person to be a casting director Martino said ‘God knows I wouldn’t make it, people like Robert obviously have a programming for it’

Scott pictured on the left has casting credits including Ortega and His Enemies and The Guvnors featuring Harley Sylvester of British duo Rizzle Kicks.

Martino’s foundation MMBF which launches later this month will fund and offer sponsorship to actors and supporting artists as confirmed by PR Co-Ordinator Sharon Harris.
